Welcome to Lake Forest Scouts Girls Fastpitch Summer Softball

Lake Forest (IL) High School, sponsors teams for age groups 10 & under,

12 & under, and is dedicated to developing fundamentals, skills, strategy and

a passion for the game. We encourage good sportsmanship.

All teams practice on a regular basis on their home fields at the Lake

Forest West Campus.  In Januaury, we come together for indoor

skill development and practices two Sundays a month. 

We go out doors for practice weather permitting in May.

Games begin in mid-May.

All teams participate in the North Shore Fastpitch Softball League which is

managed by the Trevian Softball Association of Wilmette.

The teams also participate in local weekend tournaments in June and July.

Our teams are coached by experienced coaches and assistant coaches,

some of which are former Scout players and current college level softball

players. We do not use parent coaches. Coaches teach skills, rules, and

team play appropriate to each age level team.

The Lake Forest Girls Fastpitch Softball Association is managed by an

elected board of directors made up of coaches and parent

representatives. Board meetings are usually held on the first Wednesday

of each month and are open to all interested in attending.

We encourage parents of players to take an active role in the

development of their daughters by making sure they are at games and

practices on time, giving encouragement, and cheering their daughters

and their team in a positive manner.
