Congratulations to our U10 - 2009 Travel Team for a
Great Showing in the Titans Tournament!

Our U10s team participated in the Glenview Titans tournament this past weekend,
June 13th and 14th, and took 2nd place.  I included some info below and our MVP for
each game (the opposing team picks one for every game).

Entering the tourney they were 3-0 and are now 7-1 overall.

The scouts won against Glenview blue in first pool play game 17-5. 

MVP Claire Sullivan.

Grace Singel pitched a perfect game to defeat Deerfield dynamite 10-0 in the scouts
second pool play game. The win came after four innings and out of the 12 at bats
dynamite had, 11 were strike outs.

After pool play scouts were ranked 1. We played Deerfield Warriors after that and
won 18 to 12 to advance to the semis.

MVP Mary Singler

In the semis, Scouts defeated Trevian Gray 15 to 3. Grace Singel hit a 3 run double
and pitched well. She got the MVP again.

In the finals, Scouts struggled against 2 seeded Lake Zurich (who are a division above
the Scouts in league play). Mary Singler and Grace Singel hit well again and Claire
Sullivan pitcher in relief and earned the MVP honors.

Final score was 20 to 6 after four innings of play.
